Journey Pediatrics Therapy Services was created with the individual child and family in mind. Each child is unique and has many different strengths that will help them overcome their difficulties. Here at Journey Pediatrics Therapy Services, we are here to help facilitate this process. Though every Journey may be different, the outcome is the same. Better communication for your child.
Meet the owner
Hi, My name is Kathleen Salata. I graduated from Central Michigan University in 2014 with a Major in Communication Disorders and a Minor in Child Development and Psychology. I received my Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2016 from Wayne State University. I have extensive training and experience in evaluating and treating children with various diagnosis including, children with autism, expressive and receptive language disorders, genetic disorders, neurological disorders, motor speech disorders, articulation disorders, and the use Augmentative and Alternative (AAC) Communication systems. I have clinical experience in various settings including pediatric outpatient rehab hospitals, privately owned clinics, and schools. I have a special interest in Autism, social skills, and AAC devices. In my free time I enjoy going to garage sales (to find toys for the kids!), being with family and friends, and biking. I started Journey Pediatrics Therapy Services because I saw a great need in my community for private speech and language therapy services. I look forward to working with your child and you!
